Secretary for Education Eddie Ng will visit Shenzhen on June 22 to see its technology companies.
Also joining the visit are representatives of school sponsoring bodies.
They will see the city's culture, history, infrastructure and entrepreneur clusters, and explore bilateral education co-operation opportunities.
Mr Ng will return to Hong Kong that day.
Under Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung will be Acting Secretary during Mr Ng’s absence.
