Chief Executive CY Leung said there is no room for the discussion of Hong Kong “independence” in schools as it is clear that Hong Kong is part of the Mainland.
Mr Leung was speaking to reporters ahead of an Executive Council meeting today. He reiterated that the matter of promoting Hong Kong “independence” in schools is not related to freedom of speech.
He said principals and teachers should handle the matter by clearly conveying the above stance to students.
