There is no pressure in handling the issue of “Hong Kong independence”, Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen says.
He told reporters today that the Government has been, and will be dealing with the matter according to Hong Kong laws and the Basic Law, be it in the context of the Legislative Council Election or schools.
Hong Kong people have the responsibility to understand the city’s constitutional status prescribed in the Basic Law, while the Government is obliged to uphold, execute and promote the Basic Law, he added.
