Police want to see bookseller: CE

February 05, 2016

Chief Executive CY Leung says Police hope Guangdong authorities convey its request to meet Lee Po so investigators can speak with the missing bookshop shareholder.

Speaking to reporters upon his return to Hong Kong today after his Indian trip, he said the Government will continue to follow up on the case and advised people to avoid speculation on the matter.

A notification from the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department yesterday said three men suspected to be involved in the bookshop case are under investigation.

On the additional Express Rail funding request to be scrutinised by the Legislative Council’s Finance Committee later today, Mr Leung said it should be treated as a matter of priority as the project is of substantial benefit to Hong Kong.

He said pan-democrats' filibustering has become more serious and he urged them to carry out their duties when attending LegCo meetings.
