Another bookseller reply received

February 04, 2016

Police tonight received another reply letter from the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department's Interpol Guangdong Liaison Office regarding the missing person case involving people from a Causeway Bay bookstore.

It stated that three men - Lui Por, Cheung Chi-ping and Lam Wing-kee - were suspected to be involved in a case relating to a person surnamed Gui, and were involved in illegal activities on the Mainland. They are under investigation.

The note includes a letter from Lee Po who rejected the Hong Kong Police’s request to meet him. Police have contacted Mrs Lee who confirmed it is her husband's handwriting.

Police wrote to the Interpol Guangdong Liaison Office asking them to assist in following up the situations of the three men and to inform Lee that Police still wanted to meet him as soon as possible.
