Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing has welcomed Lee Shau-kee's plan to donate land to the Po Leung Kuk to develop a youth hostel.
He told reporters today the Home Affairs Bureau will provide assistance for the project, such as the application for changing land use and construction funding.
The Government introduced a project in 2012 inviting non-government organisations to develop hostels to offer cheaper units to young people.
Mr Tsang said four projects are now being progressively implemented.
