Chief Secretary Carrie Lam says the 2015 Policy Address shows the Government has worked hard to find and create land to meet housing and development needs.
She told the media today that while the Government wishes to respond to community aspirations, it requires the co-operation and understanding of different social sectors in its policy making.
On poverty alleviation, she said the Government will conduct a public consultation to boost retirement protection, and the Chief Executive has committed $50 billion in this regard.
She also urged the community to seize the opportunity and make the right choice on constitutional development to achieve universal suffrage of the Chief Executive in 2017 in accordance with the law.
