Nine child residents of the Caritas Medical Centre's Developmental Disabilities Unit and a Lok Yan School staff member have come down with gastroenteritis symptoms since November 16.
The five boys and four girls, aged siix to 17, are in stable condition and have been transferred to an isolation ward. The school worker has recovered.
The cases have been reported to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection. Infection controls have been stepped up. Schooling of child residents has been suspended, but visiting arrangements remain unchanged.
