Astronauts wish HK a bright future

Astronauts Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng wish Hong Kong a brighter future and hope its citizens can live comfortably and enjoy life.

This was the message they wrote on wishing cards hung on wish-making trees at Statue Square in Central today, after they officiated at the lighting ceremony of the Christmas tree.

Packed itinerary: Astronauts Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng meet Mickey Mouse and Buzz Lightyear at Disneyland and switch on the Christmas tree lights in Central.

Earlier today they visited Hong Kong Disneyland and were briefed on the theme park's background.

Delegation members stopped for a photo with Toy Story character Buzz Lightyear. They also joined the parade led by Mickey Mouse in an astronaut costume.

The delegation then travelled to Lantau Link View Point in Tsing Yi and was briefed on the architectural design of the Tsing Ma Bridge and Kap Shui Mun Bridge.

Afterwards, the delegation moved to Maritime Square in Tsing Yi to meet thousands of Hong Kong residents.
