 Poison Treatment Centre
Now open: The Prince of Wales Hospital Poison Treatment Centre has opened.
*

The Prince of Wales Hospital Poison Treatment Centre has opened, serving as the city's referral centre for toxicological cases.

Officiating at the centre's opening ceremony, Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food Dr York Chow said it will enhance clinical services for in-patients and out-patients with poisoning symptoms.

Jointly established by the Hospital Authority and the Chinese University, the centre provides clinical toxicology service for the assessment and clinical management of in-patients and out-patients with acute and chronic poisoning.

It also provides consultative service on clinical management of poisoning and general and specialist training in clinical toxicology for health care professionals.
