Teachers urged to vote
*

The Education & Manpower Bureau has urged teachers to vote in the Council on Professional Conduct in Education election tomorrow.

Thirty nominations have been received, with 16 candidates running for seats in the organisation-nominated category and 14 in the teacher-nominated group.

Voting will be conducted on a "one-teacher, one-vote" basis. Random inspections will be made to ensure fairness, and the results will be announced April 27.

For secondary and primary schools groups, candidates should receive at least 500 votes to get a seat. Secondary school voters can select up to five candidates, while primary school voters can choose a maximum of three.

To get elected, candidates in the kindergarten group should obtain at least 300 votes while special schools need 200 votes.
