Secretary for Education Eddie Ng concluded his duty visit to Nanjing today.
He visited the Nanjing Treaty Historical Gallery with more than 260 Hong Kong secondary students and their teachers on Mainland exchange activities.
Mr Ng noted that the Nanjing Treaty is closely related to Hong Kong's history and that visiting the gallery can raise students' interest in learning Chinese history.
He added that the Education Bureau will continue to support Hong Kong students to participate in Mainland exchange activities so they can learn more about the Mainland’s development from multiple perspectives.
Students can also serve as "student ambassadors" to enhance their Mainland peers' understanding about Hong Kong, he said.
