Secretary for Education Eddie Ng started his Nanjing duty visit today by meeting officials and students.
He met Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education Vice Director-General Prof Ding Xiaochang and Jiangsu Youth Federation Chairperson Wan Wenhua.
They discussed history education, vocational education and student interflow activities, among other issues.
Mr Ng then met a group of Hong Kong students studying in Nanjing and encouraged them to work diligently.
Tomorrow he will join more than 260 secondary school students and teachers from Hong Kong to participate in Mainland exchange activities.
