Secretary for Education Eddie Ng has met educators and visited institutes in Finland to learn about the country’s practices and development plans as a leader in education.
Finland’s Ministry of Education & Culture Permanent Secretary Anita Lehikoinen briefed him on the country’s education policies and strategies. Mr Ng also met Helsinki Mayor Jussi Pajunen, and Finnish National Board of Education Director General Aulis Pitkälä.
He visited University of Helsinki’s Teacher Education Department, Aalto University, HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences, and the Omnia Vocational College.
He also gave a briefing on Hong Kong's latest developments at a reception for representatives from Finland's business and education sectors.
