Customs officers have arrested a coach driver after seizing $2.1 million worth of smuggled computer parts from his vehicle.

Officers stopped the outgoing cross-boundary coach at Shenzhen Bay Control Point yesterday and found 36 boxes containing 5,800 computer RAM units and 440 disk drives concealed in the vehicle's overhead air-conditioning duct.

The driver was arrested for attempting to export unmanifested cargo.
