Customs officers yesterday confiscated 720 tablet computers worth $2.5 million being smuggled out of Hong Kong at the Shenzhen Bay Control Point and arrested one person.
A total of 18 boxes containing the tablet computers were found in the luggage and storage compartments of a cross-boundary coach.
The 52-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of "attempting to export unmanifested cargo."
Investigations are continuing.
