Secretary for Development Paul Chan says the Government will sell by tender 12 residential sites and a commercial site in the first quarter of next year, which can provide 5,500 flats and 18,000 square metres of commercial space.
Briefing the media today, Mr Chan said the next quarterly land sale programme will see the most sites offered, and provide the highest flat production capacity, since the scheme's 2011 launch.
He said the move shows the Government's commitment to boosting land supply.
The residential sites are in Sha Tin, Peng Chau, Wong Chuk Hang, Tuen Mun, Sai Kung, Tai Po, Shau Kei Wan, Kai Tak, and Tin Shui Wai.
The commercial site is in Cheung Sha Wan.
