The Centre for Health Protection has learned of an additional avian influenza A (H7N9) case in Shanghai.
It involves a 66-year-old man who is in under management.
A total of 704 human cases of H7N9 have been reported by Mainland health authorities since 2013.
The centre reminded people not to visit live poultry markets and farms and to avoid contact with poultry, birds and their droppings.
