The Centre for Health Protection has learned of a human case of avian influenza A(H7N9) in Jiangxi involving a 46-year-old man who is under treatment.
A total of 666 human cases of A(H7N9) have been reported by Mainland health authorities since 2013.
The centre reminded people not to visit live poultry markets and farms and to avoid contact with poultry, birds and their droppings.
