Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan attended the Boao Forum for Asia Sydney Conference today.
Speaking at the meeting, Prof Chan shared insights on the latest economic outlook in Asia, the challenges faced by the region, and the impact of China's "One Belt, One Road" initiative on Asia.
Later he met with Australian Treasurer Joe Hockey to discuss the regional economic outlook.
He then met the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia Ian Narev and the Deputy Chairman of the Australia Securities & Investment Commission Peter Kell.
He also visited the Tyro FinTechHub and met financial technology start-ups to learn more about their businesses.
