Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan will go to Sydney on July 27 for a five-day visit.
He will attend the Boao Forum for Asia Sydney Conference and promote Hong Kong's role as a leading offshore renminbi hub.
Prof Chan will meet with senior government officials, and the key personnel of financial regulators and financial institutions.
He will learn more about Australia's experience in promoting the development of financial technologies, and visit the Committee for Sydney on Financial Services Knowledge Hub.
He will also meet Sydney's business leaders to strengthen ties between the two cities.
