Taxi driver killed in North Point crash

Police are investigating a traffic accident in North Point which killed a 59-year-old man today.

 

At about 3.30pm, a taxi travelling on Victoria Park Road westbound reportedly lost control and hit a van and a car in the neighbouring lane when reaching the junction with the Island Eastern Corridor.

 

The 59-year-old taxi driver was rushed to Ruttonjee Hospital where he was certified dead at 3.43pm.

 

Anyone who witnessed the accident is urged to contact Police on 3106 8800 or 3106 8838.
