Gov't concerned over HK baseball player injury
*

Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing has expressed concern over the injury of a Hong Kong Baseball Team player who sustained a gunshot wound while attending the fourth biennial International Baseball Federation Women's World Cup of Baseball in Venezuela.

Mr Tsang has extended his regards to the injured player and her family.

The Home Affairs Bureau has contacted Hong Kong Baseball Association Secretary-General Felix Yip, who is accompanying the team in Venezuela. Mr Yip confirmed that the injured player has had surgery and she is now stable.

The Government will continue to follow up on the matter and provide assistance as appropriate.
