Deputy Commissioner of Police Dick Lee welcomed Shenzhen Public Security Bureau officers to the Lo Wu Border Control Point today.

The officers visited the facility to learn more about the functioning of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Land Boundary Police Co-operation Scheme.

Since the scheme was launched on January 19, Hong Kong Police have received 120 calls for assistance, with 23 cases occurring in the cross-boundary area. On the Shenzhen side, there were 89 cases, with 25 cases in the cross-boundary zone.

The scheme helps boundary crossers report crimes and other police-related matters.

Mr Lee said Police will inform Shenzhen authorities of the latest crime information.
