*

A covered footbridge across Lai Chi Kok Road near Cheung Mou Street has been proposed for construction.

It would feature a lift, escalator and staircases, and be connected to a pedestrian walkway which will link with another footbridge across Sham Shing Road to form a walkway system in the area.

The proposed works were published in the Government Gazette today.

Anyone objecting to the proposal is required to write to the Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works at 16/F, Murray Building, Garden Road by March 25.

A related plan is available for public inspection at:

* Central & Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, G/F, Harbour Building, 38 Pier Road;

* District Lands Office, Kowloon West, 10/F, Yau Ma Tei Carpark Building, 250 Shanghai Street; and,

* Sham Shui Po District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, G/F, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road.
