Busy weekend expected for border checkpoints

*
Transport Department

Travellers should cross the boundary by train this weekend due to the return of holidaymakers from the Mainland.

The message is from the Transport Department which expects heavy congestion at Lok Ma Chau control point.

It urged travellers to keep order and stay patient when queuing for the shuttle bus services as waiting times could be long.

With the implementation of the overnight operations at the control point, adequate public transport has been arranged.

Bus routes N268, N76 and N277 will operate overnight for those heading to San Tin, Mong Kok, Sheung Shui and Yuen Long.

Green minibuses 44B and 79S will travel between San Tin and Tuen Mun Ferry Pier, and Tin Shui Wai.

Passengers can also take urban and New Territories taxi services from San Tin.
