Use rail services during holidays

*

The public should plan their journeys ahead and travel by rail as the demand for Lok Ma Chau - Huanggang cross boundary shuttle bus services will go up during the Chinese New Year holidays.

They should also remain patient when waiting for bus and rail services.

Making the appeal, the Transport Department said the shuttle bus will operate round-the-clock while KMB N277 and N76, GMB 44B and 79S will provide overnight feeder service.

To cater for demand, KMB N268 will ply between San Tin Terminus and Mong Kok KCR Station between January 31 and February 17, while KMB N270 (Sheung Shui - Sha Tin) will route via Tai Po.

Passengers may also make use of taxis and public light bus services.

The department reminded that the last departure of KCR train to Lo Wu from Sheung Shui will still be 11.40 pm on Lunar New Year's Eve.

The public should check with the New Hong Kong Bus Company at 2471 0792 regarding the shuttle bus service before departure.

Feeder services to San Tin may be temporarily suspended if the  San Tin Public Transport Interchange or the Lok Ma Chau Control Point gets crowded.
