Rehabilitation fair set for Oct 21
*
Correctional Services Department

The Correctional Services Department will hold a "Rehabilitation Fair" at its Staff Training Institute on October 21, featuring entertainment programmes including a marching band made up of inmates of the Cape Collinson Correctional Institution.

With more than 40 non-governmental organisations participating, the fair aims to demonstrate and recognise their contributions in providing rehabilitative services. It also serves to seek public support and acceptance of rehabilitated offenders.

Other entertainment programmes will include a guard dogs demonstration, drama, children's choir, magic and acrobatics shows, Cantonese opera by NGOs and a visit to the Hong Kong Correctional Services Museum.

The fair will take place at 47 Tung Tau Wan Road from 11am to 5pm. Admission is free.

The department's Staff Training Institute is accessible by bus routes 6, 6X, 63, 73, 260 and 973 and green minibus routes 40 and 52.

People may also take the fair's free shuttle bus operating between 29 Stanley Beach Road (near the green minibus stop) and the institute every 30 minutes from 10am to 4.30pm.
