2 treated for Dengue fever

Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed two Dengue fever cases involving a 39-year-old Sheung Wan man and a 56-year-old Sha Tin woman, bringing the year's total cases to 51, all imported.

 

The man visited the Philippines September 22 to 26 and came down with fever, chills and muscle pain on October 2 and was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital October 6 to 8. His condition is stable.

 

The woman went to Guangdong with her husband September 15 to 22 and came down with fever, joint pain and a rash on September 23. She was admitted to Prince of Wales Hospital the same day and discharged September 30.
