Giant mural: A dazzling mural measuring 66 metres long and two metres high has been unveiled in Kwai Chung, promoting racial harmony.

A dazzling mural measuring 66 metres long and two metres high was unveiled in Kwai Chung today.

Painted on the outer wall of the Osman Ramju Sadick Memorial Games Hall at Hing Fong Road, the mural is the winning entry of the Beyond the Boundary drawing competition-cum-mural project.

Under the guidance of professional muralist Joel Eugenio E. Ferraris, over 100 volunteers of different ethnic origins, including Chinese, Filipinos, Pakistanis and Nepalese, worked on the mural.

Organised by the Home Affairs Bureau, the project aims to foster awareness of racial harmony and equal opportunities through active participation of various ethnic groups and the medium of highly visible images.

Entries were judged by a vetting committee comprising members of the Committee on the Promotion of Racial Harmony, a professor of fine arts and a professional muralist.

The winner of the contest was the Mong Kok Kai-Fong Association's Chan Hing Social Service Centre.
