Nethersole illness being investigated
*
Hospital Authority

The Hospital Authority has confirmed that seven healthcare workers from an Alice Ho Nethersole Hospital ward have been reported to have respiratory illness symptoms.

The hospital has reported the case to the Department of Health for investigation. The department has already started its investigation including contact tracing.

All seven staff do not need hospitalisation. Among them, five have recovered and are back to work while two are still on sick leave.

The concerned ward has stopped taking in patients since August 25 while the hospital has asked other patients' families not to visit those affected.

The hospital has taken all necessary precautionary measures and conducted medical checks on its staff. The health of the patients from the concerned ward is being closely monitored.
