Housing Authority welcomes court decision
*
Housing Authority & Housing Department

The Court of First Instance has endorsed the Housing Authority's application for a stay of execution on the court order on public housing rental review after hearing both parties today.

Welcoming the decision, the authority said it has undertaken to review public housing rental in accordance with past practice and the court's instructions.

It will also resume the work of the Ad Hoc Committee on Review of Domestic Rent Policy with all due speed.

It is expected that a meeting will be held early next month, and the authority is confident that specific recommendations will be forthcoming shortly.

The authority has also filed an appeal with the Court of Appeal yesterday against the Court of First Instance's decision on July 11, and will pursue the appeal as expeditiously as possible.
