Wetland Park to host Insect Chorus

*
Insect Chorus
Close up: The Red Ring Skirt butterfly is one of the scores of insects being displayed at the Wetland Park.
*

Hong Kong Wetland Park will hold its Insect Chorus programme May 21 to October 4, giving visitors a closer look at insects.

Through text and photos on display panels, two exhibitions named Fantastic World of Insects and Meet the Fireflies will provide information on the body structure and metamorphosis of insects and their interesting habits and behaviours.

Giant models of insects like ants, dragonflies, grasshoppers, stick insects, backswimmers and water-skaters will also be exhibited.

The park will arrange guided tours, with guides sharing fun facts about insects, such as their strategies in defending themselves against predators and finding partners.

Indian lotuses and water lilies are also being displayed until August 31.
