The Labour Department has withdrawn its endorsement of Safety Specialist Services' two training courses.

The firm is no longer authorised to issue certificates of completion of the courses, which cover safety training for workers in construction and confined-space operations.

The company breached conditions of authorisation for running the courses by using trainers unapproved by the Commissioner for Labour and substantially changing the courses' contents without approval.

The decision to withdraw the recognition came after thorough investigation and evidence gathering.
