New job centres open

*
Labour Department

Secretary for Economic Development & Labour Stephen Ip has opened two new job centres in Sheung Shui and Yuen Long, saying they will enhance employment services in the two remote districts.

Formally opening the centres today, Mr Ip said they are equipped with modern facilities to provide one-stop, diversified and free employment services for job-seekers. They have been operating since the end of September, and received 3,335 local vacancies last month.

For enquiries, call the Sheung Shui centre on 3692 4532, or the Yuen Long centre on 3692 5750.

The Labour Department now has 12 job centres.
