Highlights of the grand final of the Standing Committee on Language Education & Research debating competition for junior secondary students will be broadcast on TVB Jade Channel July 13 at 11.05pm.
The show is the first in Hong Kong to promote debating through television. It will feature committee chairman Michael Tien, Legislative Council President Rita Fan and media expert Stephen Chan.
The programme encourages students to participate more in debating activities.
The whole grand final will be aired July 23 at 1.15pm.
A series of one-minute segments broadcast earlier to introduce debating techniques is being rerun on the debating competition website.
