Smart art: The Church of Christ in China Chuen Yuen First Primary School Primary 5 Student Yip Nga-lun's work is one of the award-winning designs.

Twenty-four works of art out of 2,000 entries from 200 primary and secondary schools have been selected for promoting the WTO 6th Ministerial Conference.

At today's prize presentation ceremony, WTO 6th Ministerial Conference Co-ordination Office Deputy Head Tang Chi-leung and Principal Assistant Secretary for Education & Manpower Chan Ka-ki presented awards to students with outstanding performance.

The Primary & Secondary School Students' Welcome Card & Bookmark Design Competition, with the theme of "Welcome our friends from all over the world", comprises four groups, including Lower Primary (Primary 1 to 3), Upper Primary (Primary 4 to 6), Junior Secondary (Secondary 1 to 3) and Senior Secondary (Secondary 4 to 7).

Two-hundred works were first selected, from which 24 excellent pieces were identified. The students were awarded a certificate and a $1,000 book coupon. Some of these entries will be reproduced as souvenirs and other publicity purposes.
