Weekend show on senior secondary schools
*

Eleven senior secondary schools will hold a joint exhibition this weekend, March 5-6, from 11am to 6pm at Stars Atrium, Level 1, Plaza Hollywood, 3 Lung Poon Street, Diamond Hill, Kowloon.

The 11 schools, established in the past two years under the Direct Subsidy Scheme, provide Secondary Three leavers with diversified and practical curricula.

Apart from Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination subjects in Arts, Science and Commerce streams, these schools offer students a choice of subjects like Industry & Commerce, Design, Tourism and Art. Short-term workplace internship programmes will also be arranged to allow students to familiarise themselves with different occupations.

Senior secondary schools provide a versatile articulation ladder for their Secondary Five graduates, including the traditional Advanced Level curriculum and professional diploma courses upon completion of Secondary Five.

Enrolment starting end-May

Senior secondary schools will recruit Secondary Four students on their own before the end of May, during which Secondary Three students can apply to these schools direct for admission. They can also apply for the remaining places, if any, through the Central Allocation mechanism under the Junior Secondary Education Assessment System.

The 11 participating schools are: Caritas Charles Vath College, CCC Kung Lee College, ECF Saint Too Canaan College, Heung To Secondary School (Tseung Kwan O), Lam Tai Fai College, PLK Ngan Po Ling College, QualiEd College, Tsung Tsin Christian Academy, United Christian College (Kowloon East), VTC Yeo Chei Man Senior Secondary School and YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College.
