An information expo for secondary school leavers, providing the latest information on further studies and employment opportunities, will take place at Plaza Hollywood in Diamond Hill on this Saturday and Sunday.

The Education & Manpower Bureau and the Labour Department jointly organised the event with the assistance of the Hong Kong Association of Careers Masters & Guidance Masters and Hong Kong Education City.

Exhibition booths will be set up to handle enquiries and distribute materials on courses and schemes, including sub-degree programmes, Project Yi Jin, the Youth Pre-employment Training Programme, the Youth Work Experience & Training Scheme and vocational training programmes.

Participants will also be able to apply on the spot for the Youth Pre-employment Training Programmeand  the Youth Work Experience & Training Scheme. They can get counselling on further studies and employment opportunities, consult the online interactive employment service of the Labour Department, find information on job vacancies, and browse related websites.

Speakers from the bureau, department & the Hong Kong Association of Careers Masters & Guidance Masters will share their strategies for further studies, vocational training and offer advice on such matters as reducing stress while awaiting the release of examination results.

Copies of the "Careers Guidance Handbook for Secondary 5 Graduates" and the "Handbook for Form 5 Students: In Pursuit of Job & Continuing Learning Opportunities" will be available at the expo.

It will take place at the Stars Atrium on Podium Level 1 at  Plaza Hollywood in Diamond Hill, from 10.30am to 7pm. Admission is free.
