Primary One allocation results out on Saturday

Story book for kids
Get prepared: The Education & Manpower Bureau has published a storybook for parents to get their kids prepared for entering primary schools.

Parents of pre-primary children will know on June 7 which schools they will attend, when the results of the Central Allocation for Primary One Admission will be released.

Of the 29,590 children who took part in the exercise, 74.1% (21,912) were allocated to schools of their first three choices, compared with 72.8% last year.

Taking into account the discretionary places and the number of children allocated to schools of their first three choices, the overall satisfaction rate was 87.2%, compared with 86.8% last year.

Concerned parents have to collect the Primary One Registration Form from the distribution/collection centre of their home school net on June 7 or 8, and complete the registration on June 10 or 11.

More details can be found in the Education & Manpower Bureau's website.

To help parents prepare pre-school kids for a smooth transition to primary school, the bureau has published a storybook for distribution through kindergartens and childcare centres.

It has also been uploaded onto the bureau's website.

Related seminars will be held for kindergartens on July 17 and 26 respectively.
