Parents should choose schools this weekend
*

Children who have not secured a discretionary place for September under the Primary One Admission System can choose a school through Central Allocation this weekend.

Central Allocation participants will be allocated a Government or aided primary school place.

Results of the Central Allocation will be announced on June 7.

Parents will receive a letter from the Education & Manpower Bureau's School Places Allocation Section inviting them to fill in and return a Choice of Schools Form at a specified Distribution/Collection Centre.

Each Centre will operate from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 4.30pm on both days.

Parents who do not receive the invitation letter by Friday should call the School Places Allocation Section on 2832 7700.

For enquiries about the procedures for Central Allocation, call the Bureau's automatic telephone enquiry service at 2891 0088.
