A common bond in the new year
*

Secretary for the Civil Service Joseph Wong hopes all civil servants enjoy good health and achieve their work targets in the new year.

Mr Wong said: "The new year symbolises a good start and heralds smooth progress and prosperity. I sincerely wish that all civil servants continue to uphold their professionalism in assisting the Government to revive the economy for the betterment of Hong Kong."

He said as goats are good-tempered, gregarious and peace-loving, he earnestly hopes that the new year would bring peace to the world.

"Likewise, I hope that all people in Hong Kong, including our civil servants, would set aside their differences and weld a common bond for a harmonious community."

Mr Wong's letter has been uploaded onto the Civil Service Bureau website at  http://www.csb.gov.hk.
