A 51-year-old Vietnamese illegal worker was jailed for 15 months by Sha Tin Magistracy on July 8.
Immigration Department officers arrested her in a raid on June 8 at a cooked food stall in Yuen Long where she was working illegally.
The woman is a non-refoulement claimant holding an immigration recognisance form that prohibits her from working.
She was charged and convicted for taking up employment in Hong Kong without the authority of the Director of Immigration after having landed in Hong Kong unlawfully.
