Three Bangladeshi illegal workers have been jailed for 15 months by Sha Tin Magistracy.
During raids on June 1, Immigration Department officers arrested three men, aged 28 to 30, who were working in a residential building under refurbishment in Sham Shui Po.
They were charged for taking up employment after landing in Hong Kong unlawfully and remaining without the authority of the Director of Immigration or while being a person in respect of whom a removal order or deportation order was in force.
Their two employers are being investigated.
