Admiralty still high-risk: Police

December 02, 2014

Police warn that the Admiralty protest site remains a high-risk area due to the infiltration of troublemakers, and radical people and organisations that are making the situation chaotic.

Police said today it believes the same protesters involved in the illegal blockage of Mong Kok roads also charged Police cordons on Lung Wo Road and at the Central Government Offices on Sunday.

Some of the radicals and troublemakers took command and incited others to violently charge at Police.

Police condemned people making online appeals for protesters to throw makeshift stink bombs at officers and to spray-paint their helmets to impede their vision.

In respect of the injunction orders on Connaught Road Central and Harcourt Road, Police said it respects the court's judgment and will render assistance as necessary.

On the protest organisers’ plan to surrender, Police said it will deal with it in accordance with established procedures fairly and impartially.
