Gov’t refutes hostage report

The Security Bureau says the content of a Philippine media report on the Manila hostage-taking incident is incorrect, and has asked for a clarification.
The bureau made the remarks today in response to media enquiries on a report on the website of Philippine television station ABS-CBN last night.
The Hong Kong Government and the victims' families' representative have not reached a consensus on an apology with Manila representative Bernardito Ang.
The bureau will seek a clarification from Mr Ang.
