The Government announced today the composition of the new term of the Harbourfront Commission, which will begin on July 1.
Nicholas Brooke is re-appointed chairperson for a one-year term.
The commission has 12 non-official organisation members, 10 non-official individual members and eight official members.
Secretary for Development Paul Chan will continue to assume the vice-chairmanship.
Under the established six-year rule, to ensure a healthy turnover of members of advisory bodies, five non-official individual members of the commission are re-appointed for a one-year term. They are Nicholas Brooke, Chan Hok-fung, Lily Chow, Eric Fok and Vincent Ng.
Other commission members are appointed or re-appointed for a new two-year term.
To support the concept of a water-friendly culture as raised in this year’s Policy Address, three new members with water recreation and sports backgrounds are appointed: Hans Joachim Isler, Kan Chak-fun and Vivian Lee.
