The Government has appointed the chairman and members of the Land & Development Advisory Committee for a new three-year term, from July 1.
David Wong has been re-appointed as chairman.
The other 20 non-official members, appointed on an individual basis, are eight nominees from trade and professional organisations, and 12 people from diverse professional backgrounds covering engineering, construction, real estate development and administration, education, legal, medical, policy research and social services.
The committee advises the Government, through the Secretary for Development, on policies and procedures in relation to planning, land and buildings matters; specific development proposals and projects initiated by non-governmental organisations or private sector proponents which carry broader economic or social merits; and policies, measures and specific development proposals conducive to the Energising Kowloon East initiative.
