Secretary for Transport & Housing Prof Anthony Cheung will visit Beijing and Hamburg this week.
Prof Cheung will leave for Beijing this evening and meet China Civil Aviation Administration officials tomorrow morning. He will also pay a courtesy call on the Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office of the State Council.
He will return to Hong Kong that evening, then depart for Hamburg, Germany to join Hong Kong Maritime Industry Council members there to promote Hong Kong's maritime services.
Prof Cheung will lead the delegation in meetings with the German Shipowners' Association, the International Union of Marine Insurance and the German Shipbrokers Association. The delegation will also visit the Port of Hamburg.
He will also speak at a business luncheon organised in collaboration with the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and will have lunch with local maritime business leaders.
Director of Marine Michael Wong and Deputy Secretary for Transport & Housing (Transport) Julina Chan will accompany Prof Cheung to Hamburg.
During his absence, Under Secretary for Transport & Housing Yau Shing-mu will be Acting Secretary for Transport & Housing.
