April 10, 2015

Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen will visit Beijing from April 12 to 14 to attend the 54th annual session of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organisation.

The organisation primarily serves as an advisory body to its member states in the area of international law and as a forum for Asian-African cooperation in legal matters of common concern. It currently has 47 member states and two permanent observer states.

Hosted by the Central People's Government, the session will discuss various legal issues including international trade law, law of the sea, and environment and sustainable development.

During his stay in Beijing, Mr Yuen will also meet with Supreme People's Procuratorate and Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials.
